How to Set EVENTS in the SPFILE:
================================

You need to set several events in the parameter file. You can perform this task
successfully in the text based parameter file, and need to do the same
operation for an instance that uses the new Oracle9i binary server side
parameter file, also known as the SPFILE.

1)  An example of the text based parameter file syntax is:

      event="10325 trace name context forever, level 10"
      event="10015 trace name context forever, level 1"

    Inserting other parameters between these lines will cause the last
    event only to be included.

2a) One method to set the event in the SPFILE is to use the SQL syntax:

      SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET
           EVENT='10325 trace name context forever, level 10',
           '10015 trace name context forever, level 1'
           COMMENT='Debug tracing of control and rollback' SCOPE=SPFILE;
 
      System altered.

    The instance must be restarted for the events to take effect.

2b) The instance must have been started with an SPFILE.  Otherwise this ALTER command will fail as follows:

      SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET
           EVENT='10325 trace name context forever, level 10',
           '10015 trace name context forever, level 1'
           COMMENT='Debug tracing of control and rollback' SCOPE=SPFILE;

      ALTER SYSTEM SET
      *
      ERROR at line 1:
      ORA-32001: write to SPFILE requested but no SPFILE specified at startup

2c) You cannot set the event during the instance life:

      SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET
           EVENT='10325 trace name context forever, level 10',
           '10015 trace name context forever, level 1'
           COMMENT='Debug tracing of control and rollback' SCOPE=BOTH;
      EVENT='10325 trace name context forever,
      *
      ERROR at line 2:
      ORA-02095: specified initialization parameter cannot be modified

      If you get an error like this, it is necessary to use SCOPE=SPFILE
      and restart the database.

2d) The command can be performed with the instance in NOMOUNT state.
    You can set events without having to open or mount the database.

3) If you need to alter, add or remove an event, you have to enter the
    whole new list in the ALTER SYSTEM command and restart.

4) To remove all events, use:
     
      SQL> ALTER SYSTEM RESET EVENT SCOPE=SPFILE SID='*' ;

      System altered.

    The asterisk ("*") in this example applies to all cases but Real
    Application Cluster.  In a Real Application Cluster configuration
    environment the instance name is required instead of the asterisk.

5) To have events set up immediately, typically for dumping or tracing, use:

      SQL> ALTER SESSION SET EVENTS 'immediate trace name controlf level 2' ;

      System altered.

6) To configure a system-wide "triggered" event, use something like

      SQL> alter system set events '942 trace name ERRORSTACK level 3';

      System altered.

7) To turn off non-immediate system or session events interactively,
    you can use a syntax like the following:

      SQL> alter system set events '942 trace name ERRORSTACK off';

      System altered.

      SQL> alter system set events='10325 trace name context off';

      System altered.



Note the different syntax:
  
- "SESSION" versus "SYSTEM", "EVENTS" versus "EVENT", and no "," before the
   "level" keyword.
- Additionally, you can specify each event in a separate ALTER SESSION command.

글로벌 경기 위축으로 물동량 감소로 고통받고 있는 아시아 각국의 항공사와 해운사들이 이번에는 자금조달 한파를 맞고 있다.

유럽 은행들이 자본확충을 위해 대출을 줄이자 자금 조달비용이 나날이 치솟아 업체들을 압박하고 있는 것.

이에 따라 회사들은 채권시장으로 눈을 돌리거나 금리가 좀 더 싼 국책은행 또는 대출을 해 줄 수 있는 새로운 은행 찾기에 분주한 모습이다. 그러나 업계 경영진들은 금융시장의 신용이 계속 이렇게 빠듯한 경우 결국에는 인원삭감 등 비용절감으로 이어지게 될까 우려하는 눈치다.

중국은행(BOC)의 항공기 임대업체인 BOC항공 로버트 마틴 최고경영자(CEO)는 15일 월스트리트저널과의 인터뷰에서 “지금 상황은 통제될 수 있는 수준이나 신용시장 축소는 결국 가격에 영향을 미치게 될 것”이라고 말했다.

매출규모로 한국 최대 해운회사인 한진해운은 2006년 발행한 5억달러 규모의 기업채권을 차환을 위해 노력중에 있다. 채권자는 프랑스의 크레디트 아그리콜, BNP파리바와 벨기에의 KBC은행인데 당시 금리는 0.95%로 런던은행간 금리(리보)를 소폭 상회했다.

데이터 제공업체 베이시스 포인트에 따르면 한진해운은 차환을 위해 한국의 은행 한 곳으로부터 대출을 받았는데 금리는 리보보다 3.75%포인트 높으며 금액도 이전보다 약 1억달러 적어 팍팍한 시장상황을 그대로 반영했다.

이와 관련해 크레디트 아그리콜은 답변을 거절했으며 BNP파리바와 KBC은행도 답변요청을 일축했다.

시장 관계자들은 은행들이 자산건전성 강화와 경기침체에 대비하기 위해 대출을 줄이자 자금조달 시장의 유동성이 부족해지면서 금리인상으로 이어지고 있다는 설명이다.

실제로 호주의 콴타스 항공은 올해 1억2240만달러 규모의 대출을 받았는데 시장금리보다 2배이상 높은 금리를 제공했다고 밝혔다.

자금조달 능력이 더 큰 회사들은 아예 채권시장으로 발길을 돌리고 있다.

캐세이 퍼시픽은 지난 10월 8500만달러 자금 조달을 위해 최근 수년만에 처음으로 금리 3.9%의 7년만기 채권을 발행했다. 캐세이 퍼시픽 항공의 존 슬로사 CEO도 지난 12일 자금조달 비용이 오르고 있다고 공개적으로 인정했다.

보잉은 항공업체들이 내년 자본시장에서 100억달러를 조달할 것으로 추정했는데 이는 올해 40억달러에서 크게 증가한 수치다. 자본시장의 여건은 악화되고 있는데 필요한 자금이 는다는 것은 결국 자금조달이 더욱 어려워질 것을 의미한다.

아시아 항공사들이 유럽 은행의 대출에 노출돼 있다는 점도 부담이다. 아시아 항공사와 해운사의 자금조달 중 약 20%가 글로벌 시장에서 이뤄지기 때문이다.

이에 따라 기업들은 미국 수출입은행 등과 같은 정부 대출기관의 문도 두드리고 있다.

보잉 파이낸셜 부문의 코스트야 졸로츠스키 이사는 “올해 글로벌 항공사들의 대출 770억달러 중 30%가 수출전문 대출기관에 의해 조성됐으며 25~28%는 상업은행에서, 18%는 유럽 상업은행 대출에서 창출됐다”라고 말했다.

맥킨지의 엠마누일 피츠실리스 이사는 “중국과 같은 국가들은 국내적으로 유동성이 풍부해 미 달러 자금이나 개발은행에 쉽게 접근할 수 있었다”면서도 “대부분의 시장은 유동성이 이렇게 풍부하지 못했으며 유럽 은행에 의존적이던 회사들은 일시적으로 어려움을 겪기도 했다”고 설명했다.

이러한 상황에서 이미 자금조달을 마친 회사들의 안도감은 그 어느 때보다 크다.

홍콩 진후이 해운운송의 최대주주이자 부사장인 레이몬드 칭은 “2013년 인도 예정인 2척의 선박을 위한 자금조달을 올초에 마쳐 행운이었다”며 “만약 지금 자금을 빌렸다면 더 많은 이자를 지불했을 것”이라고 지적했다.

Symptoms

You need to export data from 11g and import into 9iR2. For this reason, the exp utility version 9iR2 is used to extract data from 11g. There are two aspects of this problem:

1. On some Unix platforms, the exp utility either returns no errors or crashes with core dumps.

2. On Windows platforms, exp crashes with core dumps (Dr.Watson)

Both created dumps are corrupt, the imp utility crashes immediately after the export dump header is read.

Cause

Exp utility version 9iR2 internally uses the dictionary view EXU9DEFPSWITCHES to get information about some parameters like PLSQL_COMPILER_FLAGS and NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS. The parameter PLSQL_COMPILER_FLAGS doesn't exist in 11g anylonger and so the view EXU9DEFPSWITCHES returns unhandled 0 rows.

Solution

1. Connect to database 11g as SYSDBA with SQL*Plus

2. Change the definition of view EXU9DEFPSWITCHES from:


to:


(see new parameter PLSQL_CODE_TYPE)

3. Re-start exp version 9iR2 to extract from 11g

4. Import the new dump using imp version 9iR2.
